Akira Ishida (Japanese: 石田彰 Ishida Akira) is a Japanese seiyū for the Pokémon anime. Ishida's most famous role in the anime is that of Falkner.
Biography
Akira Ishida, born November 2, 1967, Nisshin, Aichi, came to Tokyo in 1986 to study Theatre at Nihon University's School of Arts and joined Mausu Promotion in 1988 prior to his graduation. Upon graduation in 1990, he continued his affiliation with Mausu Promotion , but after 21 years with the company, he left in 2009 and became a freelancer.
In 2007, he notably earned the "Best Supporting Character (male)" award at the first "Seiyu Awards" for his portrayal of Athrun Zala in Gundam Seed Destiny.
