Gary's Nidoking (Japanese: シゲルのニドキング Shigeru's Nidoking) is one of the many Pokémon owned by Gary Oak.

Nidoking first appeared in The Battle of the Badge, where Gary used him against Giovanni's Golem. Nidoking easily defeated Golem with a Tackle attack, but, along with Arcanine, was later beaten by Mewtwo.

Nidoking was also used in The Fourth Round Rumble against Melissa's Golem. However, unlike the battle against Giovanni's Golem, Nidoking lost to her Golem's Seismic Toss, which resulted in Gary losing the battle.

As a Pokémon with a 100% chance of being male, it was the first of Gary's Pokémon to have its gender confirmed, and the second of Gary's Pokémon to be revealed, after his Krabby.
