Game Boy micro

The Game Boy Micro is Nintendo's second redesign of the Game Boy Advance. It was released in late 2005 and marketed towards the "image conscious" consumer, with emphasis placed on its small size and sleek design. It was available for $99.99 in most stores.

The Game Boy Micro was not a successful product as hoped it would be. It was mostly due to the lack of compatibility with the original Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP and Nintendo GameCube, unless buying the specific multiplayer cables to connect with the GBA and SP. It also removed backwards compatibility to original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. It was released after the Nintendo DS, decreasing its room for a share in the market.

• Battery: built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, up to 5 hours of battery life with top brightness and sound or 8 hours with both features on default.

• Game Boy Micro: A Pokémon Game Boy Micro was released in Japan on November 17th 2005. It is black and red with a metallic silhouette of Pikachu above the A and B buttons.
