Pokémon Ryūōsen (Japanese: ポケモン竜王戦) is an official Japanese battle tournament for various Pokémon games and media, largely based off the Ryūō, an annual Japanese professional shogi tournament, as well as the title of its winner. Players that win the tournament will likewise be known as the Pokémon Ryūō, lit. "Pokémon Dragon King" for that year.
Initially held in 2020, and then again in 2024, the Pokémon Ryūōsen from the first event will return to defend their title.
