Release information

This card was included in the Fossil expansion with artwork by Kagemaru Himeno, first released in the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted with new artwork by the same artist as a promotional card available as an insert with the second volume of the manga series How I Became a Pokémon Card, released in September 1999. The Japanese promotional version was printed on non-glossy card stock. The English print of this promotional card was available through the Pokémon League in September 2000.

  • The promotional version of the card is commonly known as ? Psyduck, in reference to the character illustration. The Japanese promotional version also has an open book symbol in place of an expansion symbol.
  • The Japanese promotional version is also commonly known as Natta Wake Psyduck in reference to the manga book in which it was distributed.

Fury Swipes is a move in the Pokémon games that Psyduck can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue. The Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
