The 2002-03 Modified format of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (now referred to as Standard format) was a former Standard format used for Play! Pokémon organized play and in most sanctioned tournaments worldwide from September 2002 to August 2003.

Play period

The 2002-03 Modified format was announced on July 1, 2002, rotating out Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge. Sanctioned play periods varied slightly due to different release schedules in various regions.
