BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!
We don't permit non-pedia discussion around here, so in the best interest of on-topic discussion, if you want to tell me something personal, or just plain off-topic, send me a Personal Message (PM) on the Bulbagarden Forums.

Also, I am a busy guy. There is a whole staff of people that can answer your question, so you don't have to go straight to me with every single question. Alternatively, you may not need to ask anyone anything thanks to our handy FAQ. If something isn't listed there check the manual of style or even the helpful welcome portal likely listed at the top of your talk page.

Please?

Can I please have the ability to edit my User Page again? Cool469talk 09:30, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

You've made 5 edits to the mainspace since having your privileges revoked. Three of which were reverted, and one which was completely deleted from the record (must've been pretty bad). It's pretty clear you have not earned your userspace privileges back yet. Sorry. More to the point, it's clear you aren't familiar with how to edit our site as you failed to link anything properly. I think your next stop should be the manual of style. -- MAGNEDETH 03:13, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Sprite comparison

Samurai Sam 19:05, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Hey, if you find the time, could you please finish Gen I & II sprite comparison thing you started? (User:MAGNEDETH/Sprite) - Sam

Yea, I'll get around to it at some point. Btw, please sign your comments with four tildes. -- MAGNEDETH 03:13, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Excuse me

I have edited in the mainspace very much lately. If it is not too insistent I also have taken note of the one userspace edit a day rule, and promise I won't make the same violation I had a while back. Could I please have permission to edit my userpage again? Damionic 23:31, 17 June 2011 (UTC)User: Damionic|||User Talk: Damionic 23:21 June 17 2011

You've made 11 edits to the mainspace since having your privileges revoked. Four of which were reverted, two that were very minor, and four of which were just redirects.

Erm...

How do you put pictures in? I want to change the picture on Leaf Storm, since it's "unsatisfactory". YoshisWorld 00:45, 21 June 2011 (UTC)YoshisWorld

Move images have a naming convention. You should replace the existing image here on the Archives rather than simply changing the image name. Remember to read the Archives Manual of Style before you upload anything. Werdnae (talk) 00:52, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion for the Wiki

Where would i post a suggestion for the wiki? Would i ask you... or do I go to the forums. If i do ask you, what would you think about a new project: Pokémon pronunciation. After their names on every Pokémon's page, there should be a pronunciation key. I know Nintendo never gave pronunciation keys, but with the anime, we should be able to get the pronunciations. I only say this because I personally hate not knowing how to pronounce a Pokémon's name, and there's a lot I don't know, and I don't wan to go find what anime episode they are in to listen to when a character says there name. To be honest, I'm not really good with forums, so if this is something that should be brought to the attention of the forums, could you help me set it up? Thank you... Toadstool 23:53, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

The issue with pronounciations, it the official handbooks have one, the 3D games usually have a different one, the anime often has a third different one, and in some cases the movies have a fourth. Until we can get consistency across all the different media, it's going to be difficult to implement. Werdnae (talk) 02:44, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Yea, we tried implementing it from the handbook, but it just created arguments. Myself included. No one really seems to know what the correct one is. -- MAGNEDETH 02:47, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Um...

Could we, like, put the GIF Pokémon sprites instead of the normal ones? I know a site or two that has them. ARCEUSVICTINI 19:06, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

We generally use animated .png, they're of a higher quality. -- MAGNEDETH 20:30, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Userpage?

How many edits do new users have to make before they can make their own userspace? Arceuscl405 22:15, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Put your main focus on the mainspace as the number of edits is secret. Just keep making good edits and it'll appear. --CoolPikachu! 22:28, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Just make sure that you don't try to get your userpage edit rights by making numerous minor edits. (That's the lazy man's way of doing it!) 10 minor edits contribute to the mainspace a lot less than 10 major edits. Trust me, I know this. I have a userpage that I just got and I won't edit until the userpage restriction is lifted from 1 edit per day to 3 edits per day. That way, I can complete it a lot faster than if I started now. Pikachu9000 02:06, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Hmm...

There was a sentence in the Kecleon Shop article that read, "Best plan if thinking about theft is too know where the stairs are." I edited this out, because not only is it opinion, the grammar and spelling don't meet the expectations of Bulbapedia. Is this bad enough for me to get someone to message the person who put that there? EvilKirikizan 13:32, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

That is indeed quite bad and unacceptable. However, it isn't recommended to warn people of errors so far after they've happened. Seems that person hasn't edited in a few days anyway. If that person comes back, or indeed you see anyone make such a large grammatical error, it is advised to revert and warn them. You can do it yourself (it's a fairly basic site-wide rule so it isn't really necessary to get an admin), but if you don't feel comfortable, you can contact any active staff member. -- MAGNEDETH 15:57, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Userpage Edit Limit

Sorry to bother you. I know you're busy, but do you know when the userpage edit limit will be raised from one edit per day back to three edits per day? I'm wondering when this may occur because I just got my userpage earlier today and I'm not going to edit it (or my talk page) until the limit is raised. I'm doing this so that I can complete my userpage faster than right now. Have a nice day! 〜Pikachu9000 02:11, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

As of now, no. But if you abuse the preview button, you can make a whole page in one edit. So give that a try. -- MAGNEDETH 03:40, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Large-Scale Pokémon Graph Projects

Hello!

[1][2]

If those don't work, go to photobucket.com and search "Googlebonker."

These are projects I started that I really don't want to take the time to finish. I'd like them to be presented to the Pokémon community for other people to continue work on them.

I enjoyed seeing graphs in an early strategy guide for Pokémon. I don't understand why they stopped using that style of graph and began using numbers of blocks/circles to represent the strength of a Pokémon's Stats. Graphs included in the above-linked albums are more accurate representations of Pokémon's Base Stats and maximum and minimum stats with Hindering, Neutral, and Beneficial Natures.

The files in the "Pokemon Project Base Stat Graphs" album include a blank Base Stats graph, Base Stat comparison charts by evolution chain, and Base Stat graphs for the following Pokémon:

Pokemon #001-#151 all evolutions and/or pre-evolutions of Pokémon #001-#151 not included in those numbers (where applicable) Shuckle Shedinja Arceus Zekrom Reshiram

The "Pokemon Project Maximum and Minimum Stat Graphs" (M&MSGs) album includes blank M&MSGs and M&MSGs for the Pokémon listed above. It also contains the albums "Attack Special Attack Defense Special Defense," "HP_," and "Speed." These folders contain color-coded pixels indicating M&MS based on Base Stats. These files can be used in conjunction with a blank M&MSG to more easily make a new M&MSG for a Pokémon.

I already have a guide on how to construct files ready to go.

The "01Items" Album and its sub-albums contain a small amount of files. These files are the basis of a much larger, more time-consuming subproject of graphing Pokémon's M&MS while holding certain items that affect Pokémon's Stats (not the Base Power of Moves).

I don't guarantee all of the information I've graphed is correct.

Thank you for your time and reading. I hope someone or some people can take the reigns of these projects and see them through to completion.
