A valuable item is an item which generally serves no practical purpose but can be sold at Poké Marts or exchanged for other services.

Items that can only be sold

Nugget

Main article: Nugget

Sells for File:Pokébuck sign.gif5000.

Pearl

This item, introduced in Generation II, can be sold for File:Pokébuck sign.gif700. While not as common as the Nugget is, it can be found in the underwater routes in Hoenn, and attached to certain Shellder and Cloyster.

Big Pearl

This item, also intruoduced in Generation II, is just a more valuable version of the Pearl. It sells for File:Pokébuck sign.gif3750, and can also be found underwater, and attached to certain Shellder, Cloyster, and Clamperl, although it is much more rare.

Stardust

Also introduced in Generation II, this item can be sold for File:Pokébuck sign.gif1000. It can be found attached to certain Staryu and Starmie, and is generally easier to find than a Star Piece.

Star Piece

Rare Bone

Sells for File:Pokébuck sign.gif5000.
