Destiny Deoxys, is the manga adaption of the movie and was written by Takashi Teshirogi (writer of the manga Ash and Pikachu).
The manga consisted of three chapters:
- The Pokémon From Outer Space!
- The Shocking Impact And The Mystrious Gem!
- Gathering Of The Companions...!!
Differences between the anime and the manga
- Team Rocket only appears once.
- A Block Bot is replaced with a robot dog but changed to a Block Bot later on.
- Deoxys and Rayquaza's battle is changed.
- Munchlax has a different role in the manga then the anime.
- Professor Lund's assistant Yuko is replaced with a villainous male assistant named Haruno.
