At the top floor of the [[Lost Tower]], {{adv|Pearl}} hears the commotion from down below. [[Fantina]] assures him that battles are common in the tower. She explains that the Lost Tower is a place for trainers to pay respects to Pokémon that have passed on, and how there are nearby wild Pokémon who often get into battles with them. Fantina then asks Pearl and {{adv|Diamond}} to perform another act for her as Platinum leaves to explore the tower.

The bodyguards are cornered, and the mysterious person operating the flying speaker begins to lose patience with them. Through the camera on the front of the speaker, the person is able to spot Platinum, who is staring down at the fight from a higher floor. She is unaware of the trainers’ identities, simply enjoying watching a heated battle.

The mysterious person attempts to finish the fight, having Abra and Croagunk destroy Burmy’s cloak for a second time. To the person’s surprise, the leaves from Burmy’s cloak remain in the air. It is revealed that Buizel is using its tail as a propeller to keep the leaves aloft. The leaves collide with the flying speaker, knocking it down and causing it to disconnect from its operator. Without a trainer to command them, Abra and Croagunk are easily defeated by Burmy. Paka and Uji celebrate their victory as Platinum heads back upstairs.
