History

Red and Pikachu battling a Noivern in Terminus Cave

Nothing is known about Red's background. He started his journey in the Kanto region and obtained a Bulbasaur. In Viridian Forest he caught a Pikachu that he would subsequently use in many battles during his journey. After traveling through Kanto, Red traveled to the Johto region. In Ecruteak City, he encountered a Lugia while battling a group of Wooper. After traveling to the Hoenn region, he had his Pikachu battle a Vigoroth at the Weather Institute. Following this, Red continued his journey in the Sinnoh region, where he had his Pikachu battle a Probopass in front of Snowpoint Temple. This inadvertently woke up the temple's Regigigas, which Pikachu also battled.

Red challenging Blue for the title of Champion

In the Unova region, Red and Pikachu explored the Relic Castle. After falling through a pitfall, Pikachu encountered a Volcarona. White battling it, a Landorus appeared which Pikachu then fought instead. In the Kalos region, Red and Pikachu went inside Terminus Cave, where they fled from a Noivern in a mine cart. Pikachu battled and defeated the Noivern, and as such, they were safely able to proceed through the cave. In a large room, they found a Complete Forme Zygarde. They watched as it took off to the sky.

In The Challenger, Red arrived at Indigo Plateau. He managed to defeat the Elite Four and ultimately challenged Blue for the title of Champion. The outcome of this battle is unknown.

Character

Nothing is known about Red's personality, although he has been shown to be quite adventurous. He has traveled through at least five different regions and was shown to explore places such as Relic Castle and Terminus Cave.

Pokémon

		Bulbasaur
		Red was shown to own a Bulbasaur. While in Viridian Forest, he sent it out to battle a wild Pikachu, which he successfully caught. None of Bulbasaur's moves are known.

		Pikachu
		Main article: Red's Pikachu (game) Pikachu is one of Red's Pokémon and has been used by him in many of his battles. Red encountered Pikachu while in Viridian Forest. He sent out his Bulbasaur against it, but caught it in a Poké Ball without battling. After catching it, Red immediately let it out its Poké Ball and had it battle a Caterpie. Pikachu continued to travel with its trainer throughout Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos, battling against Pokémon such as Wooper, Vigoroth, Probopass, Regigigas, Volcarona and Noivern.
