The Under is a subterranean town directly beneath Pyrite Town. There is a chasm in the north of Pyrite Town that allows sunlight to reach parts of the Under. It can be reached in three ways: via an elevator in Miror B.'s Hideout, [the Under Subway]], and a mine entrance not far to the west of Pyrite Town.

The Under was once an artificial town constructed for the convience of the miners of Pyrite Town. Men assigned to dig in the depths of the earth would stay in the Under instead of having to commute back and forth to the surface everyday.

However, even when the mine dried up, the miners chose to remain in their adopted home. Now, most of the Under is populated by the descendants of the original mining crew. The original inhabitants that still live are quite old, but are fond of telling stories of when the mine was in it's prime.

Many people living in the under have not seen the surface in years, if at all! Perhaps because of this, they tend to be a paranoid lot and do not welcome outsiders easily.

The Under's landmarks include a small Poké Mart next to the Pyrite Town entrance, along with a fenced-off area that serves as the town's make-shift prison.

To the south of the town is the Under Grand Hotel, which charges an exhorbant amount of money for a single night's stay. Above the Hotel is a bar frequented by some of the Under's more seedy members.

Across from the bar is a mechanics garage owned by an old man who was a brilliant engineer when the Under was in it's prime.

On the west side of the under is a large satelite dish that transmits data for the Kid Network, whose headquarters is nearby.

The north end of the Under is separated from the south end by a large chasm. The only way to cross is via a UFO, which requires Disks to operate. In the depths of the chasm is the Deep Colosseum.

The north-side of the Under has an Herb Medicine Shop, as well as the Under Colosseum. East of the Colosseum is the TV station where Venus once had her headquarters and from where she broadcasted her show, "Under Time".

Beneath the Colosseum is the Under Subway, where the Shadow Liner will take occupants to the Shadow Pokémon Laboratory.

The Under Colosseum also has a Pokémon Center built into it, as well as a mine shaft that leads to the surface.
