In March 2007, a preview holographic Piplup card from Diamond & Pearl was included in one of the three limited edition collectors' tins. The card was later reprinted in POP Series 6 with different artwork by Atsuko Nishida, and as a DP Black Star Promo with another different artwork by that artist. The DP Black Star Promo card was released on June 2007 in Diamond & Pearl 3-Pack Booster Blisters.
