* Good question. I've considered adding information about the four Super Trainer Showdowns (2000-2001) and both Worlds (2002 in Seattle and 2003 in GenCon Indy), but I wanted to gather more information before starting them, instead of just making a stub for all of them. For the record, I was unsure about which of either of these article formats would be more ideal for these tournaments:
:* Individual Articles but Kinda Stubby; each of the following as their own articles (and as their name)
::* 2000 West Coast Super Trainer Showdown
::* 2000 East Coast Super Trainer Showdown
::* 2001 East Coast Super Trainer Showdown
::* 2001 West Coast Super Trainer Showdown
::* 2002 World Championships (TCG)
::* 2003 World Championships (TCG)
::* The issue is that there isn't much information out there outside of what I wrote for my site back in the day, so they might be a bit short and stubby.
:* Combined and Detailed; each of the following as their own articles (and as their name)
::* Super Trainer Showdown
::* World Championships (Wizards)
::* In this case the article would at least be more detailed, with each specific event as their own section, but it kinda conflicts with what already exists (ie 2004 World Championships (TCG), 2005 World Championships (TCG), etc...)
:I guess I never really worked out which one would be best, so I never got around to starting these articles myself.
:That said, for the record and the eventual article for it, here were the 2001 West Coast STS qualifier dates:
::* Sep. 8 San Francisco, CA
::* Sep. 15 Memphis, TN
::* Sep. 15 Philadelphia, PA
::* Sep. 15 New York, NY

:Anyways, that's all I have right now. I plan on adding more information, but not until I gather all the information necessary for the article. – Nick15 (talk) 06:13, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Further for the record — I found basic info I wrote up about the 2000 ECSTS, as well as a copy of the STS logo:

::... this should be enough to frame a skeleton outline for the 2000 ECSTS article/section. – Nick15 (talk) 06:35, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

New Rules

Here's a link to the new rules: [1]. --Seevea of The Blackened Halls 16:25, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

 • Note that this is unlikely to be all the rules, however, it offers some of the base rules used. --Seevea of The Blackened Halls 16:26, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

What about previous tournaments?

There have been official Pokémon tourneys since Gen I. Why aren't they covered by Bulbapedia? Golden Trainer (talk) 21:10, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

 • Good question.
 • Individual Articles but Kinda Stubby; each of the following as their own articles (and as their name)
 • 2000 West Coast Super Trainer Showdown
 • 2000 East Coast Super Trainer Showdown
 • 2001 East Coast Super Trainer Showdown
 • 2001 West Coast Super Trainer Showdown
 • 2002 World Championships (TCG)
 • 2003 World Championships (TCG)
 • The issue is that there isn't much information out there outside of what I wrote for my site back in the day, so they might be a bit short and stubby.
 • Combined and Detailed; each of the following as their own articles (and as their name)
I guess I never really worked out which one would be best, so I never got around to starting these articles myself.
That said, for the record and the eventual article for it, here were the 2001 West Coast STS qualifier dates:
 • Sep. 8 San Francisco, CA
 • Sep. 15 Memphis, TN
 • Sep. 15 Philadelphia, PA
 • Sep. 15 New York, NY
 • Sep. 15 Salt Lake City, UT
 • Sep. 16 Roanoke, VA
 • Sep. 22 Orlando, FL
 • Sep. 29 Dallas, TX
 • Sep. 29 Chicago, IL
 • Sep. 29 Raleigh, NC
 • Oct. 6 Las Vegas, NV
 • Oct. 13 Denver, CO
 • Oct. 13 Eugene, OR
 • Oct. 13 Houston, TX
 • Oct. 13 Minneapolis, MN
 • Oct. 13 Syracruse, NY
 • Oct. 14 Kansas City, KS
 • Oct. 14 Washington, DC
 • Oct. 14 Toronto, ON
 • Oct. 20 Atlanta, GA
 • Oct. 27 Albuquerque, NM
 • Oct. 28 Boston, MA
I remember the San Francisco one, because it actually took place at Neutral Ground in Mountain View, and it was only a couple days before the 9/11 attacks. I forget if the qualifiers intended for Sept 15-16 were cancelled or postponed, especially the New York City one.
Anyways, that's all I have right now. I plan on adding more information, but not until I gather all the information necessary for the article. – Nick15 (talk) 06:13, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Pokemon World Championships Template

Considering PWC is shaping up to be a major tournament in the New Series, I made a template that shows the participant in this tournaments, similar to how we have been doing such templates for regional leagues in the anime. I am just sharing this here, so maybe it can be important enough to mainspace sometime later. - unsigned comment from Riox-Ibui (talkcontribs)
