A special condition is a result that some attacks have in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The Pokémon receiving the attack will also receive a negative effect. It is the equivalent of the status ailments in the games. Some special conditions are Burned, Paralyzed, Poisoned, Asleep, and Confused. Unlike status ailments in the video games, special conditions are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
