Azalea Town (Japanese: ? Hiwada Town) is located in the southern peninsula of Johto. It's motto is "Where People and Pokémon Live in Happy Harmony!"

When the main character of Pokémon Silver, Pokémon Gold, and Pokémon Crystal arrives in the town, the townspeople are in an uproar because the local population of Slowpoke have vanished. According to legends in the town, the Yawn of a Slowpoke causes rain. 400 years ago, a drought in Azalea Town eneded right when a Slowpoke yawned.

Azalea Town is also famous for Kurt, a blacksmith who makes custom Poké Balls out of Apricots.
