This card was released as a promotional card. Both the Japanese and English versions were available with the Strategy Guide for Template:Card GB for the Game Boy Color.

Trivia

The Card GB version of this card could only be obtained through Card Pop! and is the only card out of the two Phantom Cards to be actually produced.

Origin

Mega Drain is a move in the Pokémon games that could only be learned by Venusaur via TM21 in Generation I. The card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, wheras the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
