==Effect==
When the [[sync pair]]'s Pokémon successfully uses a move or [[sync move]], it has a chance of lowering the target's {{stat|Speed}} by one stat rank. The skill can range from Impeding Strike 1 to Impeding Strike 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a higher chance of activation. Impeding Strike 9 will always lower the target's Speed. Currently, only Impeding Strike 9 is available on scoutable sync pairs. The skill applies to the Pokémon's moves, including [[status move]]s and [[File:Buddy Move Icon Masters.png|20px|link=]] [[buddy move]]s, but not [[File:Dynamax icon.png|20px|link=]] [[Max Move|max moves]].
