==Effect==
When the Pokémon successfully lands an attack on the target, it has a chance of lowering the target's {{stat|evasion|evasiveness}} by one stat rank. The skill can range from Hem In 1 to Hem In 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a higher chance of lowering the target's evasiveness. Hem In 9 will always lower the target's evasiveness. The skill applies to the Pokémon's usual attack moves, including [[File:Buddy Move Icon Masters.png|20px|link=]] [[buddy move]]s, but not [[sync move]]s or [[File:Dynamax icon.png|20px|link=]] [[Max Move|max moves]].

The skill will act independently of the move's innate chance of lowering the target's evasiveness (if applicable). If the Pokémon has access to more than one Hem In skill, each will have a chance of activating independently of each other.
