By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

SOVA

Please stop adding SOVA bias to voice actor's articles. Our articles are supposed to provide unbias information. Thanks. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:38, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh, and also, please use the preview button more often so you don't end up editing an article multiple times for minor edits. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:39, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
It's not biased, good sir. Both voice actors have confirmed this desire. For reference to what I'm discussing, watch the Ichibancon 2012 Pokemon Panel Part 1 video on Youtube.com. Just stating that desire of theirs. :) - unsigned comment from SatoPika (talkcontribs)
Also please sign your comments with four tildes, these ~. Lady Ariel 02:46, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
Like this? No problem. Where do I share this knowledge? It is confirmed and 100% true. Both Veronica Taylor and Eric Stuart have not been contacted by TPCi and thus haven't even got a guest role in the TPCi dub yet. It should be shared, that's all. XD. SatoPika (talk) 02:48, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
It is heavily SOVA bias, using phrases like "They weren't given a chance", etc. People tend to have a lot of desires, but we don't need to point them out anywhere. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:51, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

It isn't heavily SOVA bias, because both voice actors confirmed it in person at the panel in question. It should be mentioned at any rate. SatoPika (talk) 02:52, 14 September 2012 (UTC)SatoPika

Well there's nothing stopping them from contacting PUSA and asking "May we do a guest roll on Pokemon?" there is still the Verbank gym leader that Veronica could voice, but it has to come from her. How do TPCI know this, unless she tells them? Eric could also return to voice the Koffing in that episode as well, but again. It's not just up to the companies to do the contacting, the VA's need to do this too. I would know as i am an aspiring voice actor. Christian Woods Azu! 10:00, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Isn't PUSA TPCi now or whatever (so upset by the current English dub I was hoping the UK had a different one but nope PUSA wouldn't let that happen and both PUK and it combined into TPCi? XD. Well, anyway, I think you meant guest role and Virbank Gym Leader Roxie? They've already been in talks with TPCi and they can't do anything until given a remote chance to work on the show. In other words, they're being denied any right to work on it. Forget Ash and company (which of course they should've been allowed to keep but hey it's all money for TPCi now). It is heavily based on TPCi at this point and it was their decision in 2006 that's alienated a hefty majority of anime fans from the current dub. Yes, the original VAs should try to negotiate with TPCi more and I'm not denying that, though. Lillis and Blaustein got a chance to work on the TPCi dub...so what makes Taylor, Stuart, Birnbaum, Price, Wyman, and Rannells (who retired that year but I know would come back if given the chance) different from Pollock and company as well as these individuals who've returned? Blaustein was the most outspoken by far and she got to return...so why can't Taylor or Stuart? It's really, really messed up. Then again, everything TPCi did to the anime is messed up. SatoPika (talk) 11:01, 14 September 2012 (UTC) :'( Well i can promis you that when i get a roll in Pokemon, i will do a good job. i'm going to do my absolute best, for sure. And Birnbom has returned already, she voices Fraxure. Christian Woods Azu! 21:03, 14 September 2012 (UTC) Source about Amy Birnbaum as Fraxure, Christian? Thank god she came back. I need Taylor and Stuart back in some guest roles at least and I'll be happy. Christian, I would LOVE to hear you in TPCi dub. Your voice would be MUSIC to my ears after hearing these cruddy people. You would stand out like a sore thumb as a phenomenal VA in that dub. :)

Can't remember where i found the source. I'm still to start training for being a voice actor soon but i t will be a few years. I'm sure Pokemon will still be going, and i will book a flight down to new york if it kills me. but i'm going to wait untill all my training is done and untill i have more experience in voice acting before i do it this way they can get the best out of me. Christian Woods Azu! 11:21, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

Cool, Christian, cool man. I think you will stick out though: the current VAs are very inexperienced and have done only a few non-mainstream anime or nasty games like Bullet Witch barring Pokemon. I do not like their takes on the characters, personally. When you do get there, please keep the return of Veronica and Eric in your heart if they haven't already returned. You can see how mortified these guys are...what in the world were they thinking! Not even letting them return in some minor roles. That's very cruel. :'( SatoPika (talk) 12:47, 16 September 2012 (UTC) I agree. to me, a roll in an anime or cartoon is not just for money, but it's also for the fun of it and the enjoyment of getting into character, whether you're alone in a small booth or whether you're all grouped around the table. You can even make the voice director laugh and be entertained at the same time. It would be nise if TPCI would allow Eric Stuart and Veronica Taylor to do so again, i'm sure Tom Wayland would have fun with them as well just like the 4kids directors. Important tips

  1. When staff members tell you to stop adding something to articles, it is extremely important that you heed the instruction. Failure to do so will result in blocks, such as the two hour block you are currently under. If you disagree with a member of staff's instruction, do not disobey, that will also result in your account being blocked. If you disagree with someone, take the issue up on a talk page and attempt to come to a mutual agreement. If things do not go your way, do not constantly press the issue or force your beliefs.
  2. Use the preview button to reduce the number of edits needed to add information/comments to articles/talk pages. Making multiple edits to correct multiple mistakes only serves to spam the recent changes and cause unneeded server stress.

When you block expires, we expect you to keep these tips in mind as well as to follow the policies and guidelines outlined in the welcome at the top of this talk page, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:03, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Sure, no problem. I'll discuss it with them then. SatoPika (talk) 11:01, 14 September 2012 (UTC) :)

BTW, Kogoro, you a fan of Case Closed/DC? Just curious. SatoPika (talk) 12:47, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Listen

Talk pages are not meant to be used to express your personal views on a subject, but are suppose to be used for the sake of article improvement. You have already been warned to not to do such thing before, because it is your personal opinion. For example, wanting TPCi to hire old VAs etc. Whether they are willing to comeback or not, what you did was an opinion no matter how you see it, and that is not something which can help us in improving the article. I would highly recommend you to read the Talk page policy, if you have not read it thoroughly already. Also, this is the last time you are being warned about this VA matter. So, please keep in mind that if you violate the talk page policy one more time, you might get a temporary block. Continuous violations may also result in a permanent ban. Thank you, and have a good time editing! AdynizWanna talk? 14:00, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
