By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:02, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

I did try to do that but it kept giving me a 'vandalism warning' so I unfortunately had to do it this way.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 13:07, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

If you're going to work on a single page for a while, even if you only save a couple or a few times every hour, that still adds up in the Recent Changes if you're doing it for several hours. If you plan to work on a page for a long time, try to just use preview and only save after a couple or a few hours or when you have to step away. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:24, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Ok, sorry I will do it!--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 15:28, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Pokémon GO data

Hey, just wondering where you are getting all your Pokémon GO data from. Do you have a group of friends you're pooling info with, or are you just playing a lot? --SnorlaxMonster 08:24, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I am playing a lot and I add info I find on Twitter and Reddit.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 08:27, 11 July 2016 (UTC)
Could you clarify what you mean by "info" added from Twitter and Reddit? As in, do you copy whole tables of data, or are you finding people reporting individual data points on Twitter/Reddit? --SnorlaxMonster 09:31, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
Individual, for example this Twitter user that I found trough search posts many rewards for level. https://twitter.com/riggnaros --PannenkoekenNL (talk) 09:33, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

Farfetch'd

You added an Egg distance for Farfetch'd. However, I have not seen any reports of people finding Farfetch'd in-game yet. Where did you get this information? --SnorlaxMonster 03:50, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi, sorry I don't remember.. From now on I will keep track of the source of information I add. I have searched it on the internet now and you are right, there are only egg lists that have him listed. I will remove Farfetch'd from the Egg list.PannenkoekenNL (talk) 06:11, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Breeder medal

Can you double-check where you got this value for the gold Breeder medal from? Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:08, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

I will look into it.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 09:51, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
It appears I made an error, you're right in saying it should be 500. Sorry.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 16:13, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

EP250 in Brazil

If EP250 aired in Brazil please add its name in the other languages section. --Raltseye prata med mej 21:34, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

I only added it because it was said in the paragraph 'Banning' that it aired there, I don't know if it actually aired there. It should be said in both, or not at all.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 21:38, 30 July 2016 (UTC)
It does not say so here, and here so I'll remove it on both untill a source that says otherwise is presented. --Raltseye prata med mej 21:58, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

Totally Pokémon in Dutch

Hello! Could you please add the Dutch songs of Totally Pokémon to the list of Dutch Pokémon themes? I've found them on "De reis van Johto" playlist on DutchPokémonmuziek's YouTube channel. --Mine4017 (talk) 14:33, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Yes, I have added them.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 20:44, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

Preview Button

As stated before, it's best that you use the preview button before making so many edits, because it could be done in a single edit or at the very least a few edits. Playerking95 (talk) 13:07, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Yes, sorry.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 13:10, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Translations

If you want to add a Poké Problem like here, please do not copy the question from fansubs. If you can't understand it all by yourself, either ask someone who can or leave it blank. Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:14, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

But, why? They are a trusted source and considering you only changed the formulation which depends on the translator they are not off. Further, I know one of the fansubbers so I don't see how it is different from another user who knowns Japanese or knows someone who knows Japanese here adding it--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 19:23, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
Fansubs are not a "trusted source", there's no guarantee of quality whatsoever. Not to mention they are not exactly a "legal" source.
Never copy something without permission. You shouldn't really copy anything with permission either, simply because many people won't know the difference. In short, don't "steal" or make it look like we're stealing. That's absolutely the last thing we want.
(I'm also not saying you should look at a fansub and just reword their translation. Again: there's no guarantee of quality.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:32, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Format for Japanese authors/mangakas

Hey, I noticed that you are creating some manga pages recently, which I really appreciate! Just a quick thing for formatting for writing Japanese authors/mangakas (and illustrators if relevant) in the introduction of the page: list the Japanese name first, followed by the English name (no parentheses needed either). See how it is presented in Pokémon Adventures for instance. ht14 00:41, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks! Sure, I will do that from now on.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 06:41, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

ROM Hacks

Hi, I posted some suggestions ROM Hacks that could be on the ROM Hacks page, but know one has answered, so I want to ask you if they can be included;

"There are 3 notable hacks that I think that should be here: Pokémon Sienna, Pokémon Light Platinum and Pokémon Clover: Pokémon Sienna is notable for including a dex composed by fan-made and official Pokémon, and it was being developed for over 6 years. Light Platinum is notable for recreating a Pokémon Gen IV style using a Gen III engine, as well as having a full Gen IV Pokédex and a new story behind Palkia, Dialga, Giratina and Arceus. It' s also has some characters from the Anime. Clover is a hack of Pkmn Fire Red. It still uses the Kanto region, but replaces the current Pokémon with fan-made Pokémon, often with grotesque, obscene and humorous characteristics, having the famous Tentaquil meme among them. The ROM Hack' s Team is also creating a fan-game, based on it called DubsClover or NiClover. Am I allowed to put them?"

Hope you give feedback.-DigoBlaze12 (talk) 00:09, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi, sorry but I'm not the right person to ask. Try asking an admin/moderator.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 08:57, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Mainspacing pages

Under no circumstances should you copy-and-paste the contents of a userspace draft to create a page in the mainspace; that's what the move function is for.--Abcboy (talk) 16:30, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

Oh, but I was unable to move the page?--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 16:30, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Then contact an admin to move the page for you. Otherwise, the edit history completely ignores the contributions of other users to the page. --Abcboy (talk) 16:34, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Hadn't thought of that, sorry will do that the next time.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 16:39, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

Artwork of digital releases

What to do about the differing cover artwork for the digital releases on iTunes, Google & Amazon? I think that the different covers should be added when the artwork differs drastically, like Sun&Moon Vol 2. For the others, which only differ in text placement to accommodate the different sizes, like square for iTunes and rectangular for Amazon, they can be considered the same. Also, since Google uses the same artwork for all the volumes, should they be addedagain or rowspanned? → PikaTepig999 10:07, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

I think we should add all the artworks even if they only differ in size and text placement (season X in the Amazon releases) for consistency. Regarding the Google artwork, I think they should be like they are at the moment except they should be at top instead of in the centre like they are now. But I'm unsure how to do that.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 10:15, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
WOuld adding a File:None.png with a br move that to the top? Or align=top ? → PikaTepig999 10:18, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
I tried that in preview mode but that doesn't seem to work or I am doing it wrong.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 10:22, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
Or else hiding the border of the different cells so they look like a common cell. → PikaTepig999 10:32, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
No idea how to do that. Btw, you can get higher quality images from Amazon if you change the URL of the picture. X200 to SX2000 --PannenkoekenNL (talk) 10:57, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
I think I solved the problem of Google Play artworks. I'll remember about the higher quality artowrs. → PikaTepig999 11:48, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Previewing

Again, please remember that you can use the preview button, and you can wait and take your time instead of saving a page every time you have a single new thing, especially if you may have more to edit a short while later. You've made a veritable spree of edits to a variety of pages recently, such as 2.B.A. Master (today and about a week ago).

There's no race. Take your time. Please try to remember. Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:51, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

Doing things on your own.

Hello. I've seen your various edits on the manga pages. While your contributions are very helpful, please actually consult with a higher-up before you randomly decide to move pages. I actually have some ideas as to what these articles should be called and having to re-move and re-link the pages isn't making this easy. Thank you. Ataro (talk) 05:16, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

Okay I understand, I'll ask you next time.--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 05:58, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

Version of episodes

As for that other one, it could just be Cartoon Network's version being used on iTunes, but to stay safe from speculation, then yeah I agree it's best to put it as some releases. PokéPlayer339 (talk) 23:02, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
It's not "Cartoon Network's version", it's the US version. There are two versions, the US version and the international/UK/SDI version. https://forums.bulbagarden.net/index.php?threads/sdi-media-pokemon-pal-uk-europe-edits.175245/ --PannenkoekenNL (talk) 23:05, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
But I've seen some of these edits changed on the Watch Disney XD app in the US and Netflix too, so yeah maybe it's best to list it as "some" versions. Like I said, it could be Cartoon Network putting their version on iTunes. I see the versions from when Cartoon Network was airing the dub have the WTP for Indigo League, but Watch Disney XD and its era have skipped it on iTunes and Watch Disney XD. PokéPlayer339 (talk) 23:08, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
The Pokémon Company put the episodes on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, not CN. CN doesn't even have the rights anymore. The reason Disney XD skips the WTP for S01 is because they got the new "HD" masters from the Pokémon Company, which are also used on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play. http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/original-pokemon-episodes-now-available-in-hd/--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 23:14, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
Although, Watch Disney XD in the US did use the question mark title for the festival episode and the A Keeper for Keeps? one, same for Netflix, so there are US versions that use the UK/international versions that you're mentioning. It is known however that those regions always receive those variants of the episodes, but even if it's not Cartoon Network, then the versions they're using are likely for the different versions of them. To be less confusing, we can say that "some" US versions use whatever in their episode and list the regions that always use them such as the UK and international cuts. (some including all home video releases as you're mentioning) PokéPlayer339 (talk) 23:19, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
Okay, yeah, I see everything, thanks for telling me these. I know now to list these as "the versions used on home video releases and some US versions such as airings" and the international ones as "the ones used in (international countries) and some US versions such as Netflix [and if applicable, Watch Disney XD]." Also, the Netflix version does not include Poké Problem, and there's a general set of instances for that segment to be missing from the first airing, such as being the first of a one hour special, so I removed Netflix as an example keeping the others in, and listed it as just the general set of ones that by those principles won't have the segment in it for the first airing. PokéPlayer339 (talk) 23:41, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your additions!--PannenkoekenNL (talk) 23:48, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Pokemon Snap/Battle Revolution/Dash Manga

I'm interested of the existence of the Pokemon Dash, Battle Revolution, and Snap manga's you seemed to have listed on Bulbapedia back in 2017. Do you have any information on what they are about, any screenshots, or how you found out about them? I'm having trouble finding further information about them myself.
