WELCOME

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Drifblim45!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Careful

If you keep making bad edits like the one you made to Luxray's page, the staff may label you as a vandel and block you. Please make a better effort when you edit. Have a nice day. Truthseeker4449 22:40, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Expansion

Please leave the card pages saying "expansion". it's fine the way it is; actually, it is more correct than what you keep changing them to. MaverickNate 19:00, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Please?

Can somebody please explain how to edit the userpage? Oh, and sorry for making the bad edits, won't happen again!- unsigned comment from Drifblim45 (talkcontribs)

You can find the answer from our FAQ. Also, remember to sign your talk page comments using four tildes (~~~~).--Den Zen 11:50, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Talk Page Comments

Removing talk page comments, including the initial welcome template, is prohibited per Bulbapedia's talk page policy. Please do not remove any comments in the future. If you wish to clean old comments away, you should archive your talk page instead. Thank you! --Ataro 09:02, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Erasing apology, and signing talk page comments

Sorry for erasing the comment you posted, my bulbapedia account is a bit laggy. I wish I could fix it somehow... But that's not the point. I changed my preferences, and look at what comes up when I put 4 tidles! ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 10:43, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 09:52, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

OK, got it! I was just editing my navigation site on the top of the userpage, so I probably forgot to press "preview" every time. ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 09:58, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

One more thing, If you want to make one userspace edit, you must make two mainspace edits. If you want to make two userspace edits, you must make three mainspace edits. If you want to make three userspace edits, it is expected that you make four mainspace edits. Please read this for more info. -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 10:07, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Since, later the same day this discussion took place you made userspace edits #4 and 5 that day, and have made a single mainspace edit this month compared to 17 userspace edits, your ability to edit the userspace has been revoked. If you wish to earn it back, you must make contributions to the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a social networking site, so in order to earn the right to edit your personal content, you must contribute to the encyclopedia. Werdnae (talk) 04:46, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Please read this!

Since you're a newbie here, you must read all the policies of Bulbapedia. I know this is hard but you have to read all the policies. I suggest you to take a look at this. Thanks! -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 21:41, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

I already read the firs column there before. I haven't finished the other two. I will go do that right now. ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 07:47, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Just a little info

Regarding the question you asked MAGNEDETH, you should probably read this page, and the pages related. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 08:04, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

I asked if he was an administrator, not a staff member. Or are staff members actually administrators? ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 08:09, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
An Administrator is a staff member.--ForceFire 08:14, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Yes...yes staff members are also technically admins. There are various levels of staff: Junior Administrator, Administrator, Senior Administrator, Bureaucrat, Editorial Board, Editor in Chief, and Executive Policymakers. MAGNEDETH is Editor in Chief. Since you didn't know any of this, you should really consider reading the various staff pages so you know what each level of staff does. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 08:16, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Soon!

I just want to announce that I will soon put up "commentating sprites 2" and some other stuff, and then I will make a page called "User:Drifblim45/Special Links" and remove all the commentating sprites stuff and all tat other stuff from my navigation site. Oh, and I got a new signature! ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 17:54, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Huh?

Why can't I edit my userpage or anything else I made? ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 17:31, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Check out Werdnae's comment from above Since, later the same day this discussion took place you made userspace edits #4 and 5 that day, and have made a single mainspace edit this month compared to 17 userspace edits, your ability to edit the userspace has been revoked. In a nut shell you can't edit the userspace anymore. --Pokemaster97 17:36, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

And what now?

I made a big edit on the Ranger Mission page, and on the article Benjamin. Is there even a LITTLE chance I might get the ability to edit my userspace back again? ♫♪Drifblim45♪♫ 13:06, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

No, Making a one BIG edit can't help you in bringing back your privileges. -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 14:30, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Please read this if you wanna know more about mainspace. And If you have more problems instead of posting your message in your talk page, please refer to the Bulbapedia:FAQ or ask any active member of the staff about it. Thanks! -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 17:40, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Just to clarify, one edit does not mean you will get your userspace editing privileges back. They are just that, a privilege. But you need to do some work around the site to earn your right to edit them. Prove to the staff that you are in fact dedicated to the site, and become selfless enough that your Userspace is not your main priority. Proof of your dedication cannot be done merely in one edit. It will take time, and a lot of hard work. When you've paid your dues, so to speak, then you can regain your privileges. But that does not mean that when it does happen you can just go right back to solely editing your userspace. Your dedication to the main space needs to continue to thrive, and you need to only edit your userspace on occasions where you feel you have done ample enough of work to have earned an edit or two. A word of advice: Plan ahead. Take the code from your userspace and put it into a word, or notepad document, and occasionally edit it there, or even here as long as you use the preview button and do not save. Then you can see how it looks, and collect changes over time so that when you feel the privilege to edit your page, you have a lot of changes you have made, as opposed to making minor alterations all the time and abusing the userspace. Please heed this advice and use it wisely. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 17:56, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
