Trivia

There is an interesting trivial detail about Ash's Riolu as a fighting type, but I am not sure if it's worth enough to put it in the main page, so I'm sharing it here: Riolu is the first Fighting type Ash has captured since his Hawlucha, 272 episodes earlier. Hawlucha, a partial fighting was caught in the 834th episode of the series. 834 is also the number of episodes between Ash's last Gen 4 capture. Gible, and Riolu. Latter half is way too specific. The first half might be notable.--ForceFire 05:29, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

"Egg obtained at" section

I think Sinnoh is misleading. It looks as if Ash visited Sinnoh to get the egg, while the setting in the episode in question is entirely in Kanto. I think it should be mentioned on the page that the egg is from Sinnoh, but Ash got it in Kanto, while the section should be left with Kanto. (→ Rockapheller 23:16, 12 April 2020 (UTC))

I tried to edit the paragraph to provide a little more clarification that the Egg made its way from Sinnoh to Kanto prior to encountering Ash. However, I don't think the sequence is too misleading. Ash is not mentioned until the second paragraph so it would be erroneous for a reader to conclude it was in Ash's possession at that point. --Pokemaster97 04:07, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Rockapheller was referring to the template section informing where the Egg was originally found at. With Snowy, it lists Mount Lanakila, because that's where the Egg originated from, instead of where Lillie got it. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:22, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Riolu's Pokemon GO Trivia

Could be worth noting, that the higher hatch rate of Riolu in 2KM eggs during the Spring Event can be considered of a tie-in of his debut in the anime. Similar to Gigantamax Snorlax in Max Raids. Japanese Pokemon GO Twitter page does also reference the last episode, so this is confirmed. [1] Piotrek1113 (talk) 12:08, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

10km Egg reference?

I feel like that's a bit of a stretch. It's just a Pokémon Egg from the games but the spots are blue. If it was a reference to 10km Eggs specifically I feel like they'd have made the spots purple. They're blue because Riolu is blue, I really don't think it's any deeper than that. - totally signed comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 13:16, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Hatching personalities

I think Riolu acted similar to Scraggy: Causing fights after just hatching.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 22:08, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Force Palm on the floor

Wouldn't the Force Palm on the floor in JN034 be an improvised move? YoungMan16 (talk) 18:23, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Evolution Tag

A poster for the upcoming arc heavily suggests that Ash's Rilou is going to evolve into Lucario and Goh's Raboot is going to evolve into Cinderace, we should probably add an evolution tag to the two pages.

Mega Evolution??

Is it possible that this guy or Gengar may attempt to seek out a mega-stone in order to Mega Evolve? More likely for Lucario, because it's been with Ash since before it hatched, plus it met a Mega Lucario in JN025. Champion Averie, signing off! (Need anything?) 00:55, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

The point of a talk page is to suggest ways to improve an article, not for speculation. Secondly, it was confirmed weeks ago that Lucario will be using Mega Evolution. Ataro (talk) 05:58, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Ash's Lucario confirmed to be Male

in JN122, Ash and Cynthia refer to Lucario with male pronouns, at least in the Japanese version. As well as the fact that the event Pokémon in Sword and Shield based on this specific Lucario is a male. MegaPokéSonicX (talk) 21:41, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

No male pronouns were used in the Japanese version; that was simply at the liberty of the fansubbers. Additionally, genders in the games are never used by the wiki to determine their genders in the anime. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 11:57, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
What if the events are the creators' way of confirming gender? Or is that not possible? Goyangi (talk) 22:01, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
