Random Construction Starter Deck (TCG)

The Random Construction Starter Deck (Japanese: ランダム構築スターター スタンダードデッキ Random Construction Starter Standard Deck) is an introductory deck from the Space-Time Creation Expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It was released in Japan only and contains a random assortment of cards from the set.
The deck can contain any of the cards found in both the Dialga and Palkia boosters that make up the set (including Pokémon LV.X), with the exception of Colorless Pokémon.
- This deck is unusual as the cards for each rarity are completely random, unlike English decks which all contain the same pre-selected cards. This trend has been used in Japan with every first Expansion in a new Generation, with the exception of Generation III where the idea was used in half decks in the sixth Expansion.
- This deck is similar to English releases such as the 2 Player Starter Set and 2 Player CD-Rom Starter Set, designed to introduce players to the Generation IV cards found in the main set.
- The majority of cards found in this deck have rarity symbols, with the exception of the cards that also appear in the Entry Pack, released just before the deck and the main set.
- Like other Theme Decks, the Random Construction Starter Deck also includes a rulebook, damage counters, a custom coin and card list.
