In addition to the vintage favorites, six new cards—including Suicune ex, Lugia ex, and Ho-Oh ex—make their debut. Enhance your experience with high-quality gameplay accessories like a foldable two-player game board, stackable damage counter cones, and a toolbox case that keeps everything conveniently stored for your next battle.
Information
Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic is released in English, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese. It contains three Theme Decks, each built around one of the Kanto first partner Pokémon found in the original Base Set. Most of the cards in this collection are reprints from older sets; only six cards are originally created for this collection. All cards lack any regulation marks, so they cannot be used in official tournaments, except for the Basic Energy cards.[1] The cards feature a Star-Imprint Holofoil pattern first used on Generation V coins, and are functionally the same as when initially released, with the card text converted to modern wording. The unique cards printed in this collection are also available in the Combined Powers Premium Collection, which was released on February 23, 2024.[2][3]
The Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic product includes three decks, three deck boxes, three sets of card sleeves, a carrying case, and a toolbox containing stackable cone-shaped damage counters, ring-shaped Special Condition markers, and small metal orbs. The carrying case also unfolds to become a two-player playmat. Instead of a coin, the toolbox has a bowl with a spiraling ramp built into its center. The small metal orbs are rolled down the ramp to land in one of four holes, two with a white semicircular border for heads and two without for tails.
Deck lists
The deck lists for Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic were showcased during the 2023 Pokémon World Championships in Yokohama, Japan.
