This card was released as a SWSH Black Star Promo and was available in the Celebrations Collection—Dark Sylveon V, the Celebrations Tins, and the Celebrations Collection—V Memories from October 8, 2021. The Celebrations Collection—Dark Sylveon V also included a Jumbo version of this card.

In Indonesia, this card was released as a S-P Promotional card and distributed as the champion prize for the New Expansion Championships, held at participating Pokémon Card Gym stores from April 29 to June 10, 2022. There were two types of New Expansion Championships held at the time: the SCE New Expansion Championships, where participants compete using freshly opened and unmodified Awakening V Starter Decks, and the S9/S9a New Expansion Championships, where participants must compete using decks which contain at least 4 Pokémon cards from the Star Birth or Battle Region expansions.^[1]

This card was banned from the 2022 World Championships due to not being distributed worldwide.
