Release information

This card was released in the Obsidian Flames expansion, first released in the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame expansion with artwork by DOM. A Full Art SVP Promotional print with artwork by MINAMINAMI Take was available in the English Obsidian Flames Elite Trainer Box, released on August 11, 2023. A second version with the Pokémon Center logo above the Retreat Cost was available in the Obsidian Flames Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box. A Mirage Holofoil version of the Obsidian Flames print was included in the Charizard ex Premium Collection, released on October 20, 2023.

Both prints of this card were included in the Japanese Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set ex. The Full Art print was subsequently released in Indonesia and Thailand on January 26, 2024, as part of a promo pack available with every purchase of 1 box of the Shiny Treasure ex subset.
