Character of the day: Blue Oak

  • Blue Oak (Japanese: オーキド・グリーン Green Okido) is the second main character of the manga series Pokémon Adventures.
  • Blue debuts in the first round of the manga, A Glimpse of the Glow where he and his rival Red see a Mew in a Pallet Town forest.
  • He took part in dismembering the Team Rocket organization during the battle in Saffron City, where he, Red, and Green battled against Zapmolcuno.
  • He is the grandson of Professor Oak. His birthday is November 22.
  • Because Blue Version and Green Version were released in different regions internationally, Blue and Green's names were swapped in the Pokémon Adventures manga to reflect the region's game. Blue shares this trait with his game counterpart, Blue.
  • His anime counter-part is Gary Oak.
