A Tamer (Japanese: もうじゅうつかい Wild Animal Tamer) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation I games. They are young men with whips and hypnosis wheels.
They generally use version-exclusive Pokémon like Arbok or Sandslash. The only one in the game is in the the Viridian gym in Generation I.
