TV Tokyo (株式会社テレビ東京, Kabushiki Gaisha Terebi Tōkyō) is a TV station based in Tokyo, Japan. TV Tokyo is located in the Minato-ku destrict (Japanese: 港区 Minato-ku) of Tokyo.

History

It started in April 12, 1964, during that time is was called Tokyo Channel 12 Production, Ltd. (Japanese: 株式会社東京12チャンネルプロダクション, Kabushiki Kaisha Tōkyō 12 Channeru Purodakushon). In 1973, Tokyo Channel 12 Production, Ltd. changed its name to Tokyo Channel 12, Ltd.. Another name changed happened in 1983 to it's current name Television Tokyo Channel 12, Ltd. (Japanese: 株式会社テレビ東京, Kabushiki Kaisha Terebi Tōkyō).
