Simple Beam (Japanese: シンプルビーム Simple Beam) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

Simple Beam temporarily changes the target's ability to Simple. It does not work on Pokémon with the Truant or Multitype ability (However, it does work on Pokémon with Slow Start).

With this effect, the opponent stat modifiers, both positive and negative, double in effectiveness.
