Serebii.net or SPP (Serebii's Pokémon Page/Place) is a fan site created by Serebii in the spring of 1999 when many Pokémon sites were starting to appear, seemingly out of nowhere. The site first gained popularity as a GeoCities site, where it was also a member of the Articuno Island network.
It is a well known source for Anime, Nintendo gaming and TCG information. The site currently is one of the most up-to-date Pokémon websites on the Internet, updated almost on a daily basis.
Serebii.net is also a highly controversial site, as its webmaster has been frequently accused of stealing information and news from other sites without any credit being given where due. Serebii, the owner, claims that he has stolen nothing since mid-2002.
