The SecretPotion (Japanese: ひでんのくすり Secret Medicine) is a special kind of medicine found in the Generation II and Generation IV Pokémon games. It is the ultimate in healing items, however, its use is restricted, and thus cannot be used on the player's Pokémon even after the storyline no longer requires it.

In Generation II and the remakes Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the item is available from the Cianwood City Pharmacy, who will prescribe it to heal the ailing Amphy at the Glitter Lighthouse. It is the primary motivation for the player to go to Cianwood in the first place, as Jasmine will refuse to return to her Gym until Amphy is healed, thus preventing Olivine City's Mineral Badge from being available until afterward.

In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the SecretPotion is instead available from Cynthia, who gives it to the player to heal the Psyduck blocking Route 210 of their headaches so that he or she can go to Celestic Town and deliver the Old Charm. In its in-bag description, it mentions Cianwood City much as it did in Generation II, despite the fact that the area was not even visitable in these games, and due to this was one of the major points of argument by those who speculated that remakes of Gold and Silver were on their way.

The English name of this item is a mistranslation, as can be seen from its bag sprite. In Japanese, it is known only as the "Secret Medicine", with no reference made toward the other Potions which can be used in and outside of battle to heal a Pokémon in the party. As the bag sprite displays a collection of pill-like objects, rather than the spray-on bottle that represents a potion, Generation IV's continued use of the name "SecretPotion" was taken by many to be either as reference to Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal or, as many hoped, toward future remakes that eventually came.
