Santa Claus (Japanese: サンタクロース Santa Claus) is a character in the Pokémon anime who first appeared in Holiday Hi-Jynx and is based on the Santa (Father Christmas in British English) of Christmas holiday fame. His English voice actor is Ted Lewis and his Japanese voice actor is 石森達幸 Takkō Ishimori.
He is the Pokémon world's version of Santa Claus. He has the same tasks as that of the real world: giving away gifts to all the good children all over the world with his sleigh. It is unknown how Santa and the whole idea of Christmas exists in the Pokemon world as Christianity seems to not exist, although this has not been proven.
His sleigh was originally pulled by Ponyta, though this role was given to Stantler after its debut in Generation II.
