Rui (Japanese: ルイ Rui) is a member of Team Great Rocket from Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR!. Her duelist class is Team GR Big Boss (GR団 大かんぶ), the same as Kanzaki.

She appears for the first time in Mr. Ishihara's Villa. Mark or Mint must defeat her in a card duel at the GR Castle, as well as Kanzaki, to gain access to their king, Biruritchi. However, Rui has a special set of rules, and she will use different decks for any condition she chooses at random. When defeated, Rui gives the player one of both Team Rocket's Ambition and Sky Flying Pokémon booster packs.

Set of rules

Tough Escape

While Tough Escape (Japanese: にげにくい Difficult to Retreat Place) is active, it is more difficult for both the player and the opponent to call their Pokémon back to the bench because it takes 1 more Energy than usual to escape. For instance, if a Retreat Cost is usually 1 Energy card, it will cost 2 to flee. The deck used by Rui if this condition is applied is named Poison Mist Deck, as it is harder to use retreating to cure an ailment such as Poisoning without using a Full Heal or a Full Heal Energy.

Black Hole

While Black Hole (Japanese: トラッシュブラックホール Trash Black Hole) is active, any cards that are placed into the Discard will not be possible to retrieve by things such as Nightly Garbage Run, as that card will be deleted from the current match. The deck used by Rui if this condition is applied is named Ultra Removal Deck, so as to take advantage of this by removing things such as Energy cards and making it impossible to retrieve them if gone.

Low Resistance

While Low Resistance (Japanese: 抵抗力ていか Lower Resistance), any Resistance that is applied will subtract 10 damage rather than the usual 30 if the Pokémon resists an attack. The deck used by Rui if this condition is applied is named Psychic Battle Deck.
