Pokémon Live! was a musical based on the Pokémon anime. It began its run in 2000 and ended in 2002, after a European tour was canceled.
Two of the actors in Pokémon Live!, Darren Dunstan (Giovanni) and Andrew Rannells (James) went on to become voice actors for the Template:4Kids dub of the series.
The show has elements of Pokéshipping and Diamondshipping, with Misty's feelings for Ash being revealed, and the identity of Ash's father being Giovanni. Some believe that since the show is based on the anime, that these may become future plots.
