Pokémon Legends: Z-A (Japanese: Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A(ゼットエー) Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A) is a Generation IX core series game. The game will be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2025.

The game was announced worldwide on February 27, 2024 at 12 am JST through Pokémon Presents.

Plot

The game is set entirely in Lumiose City[1] during a period of redevelopment into a city where humans and Pokémon can live in harmony.

The following Pokémon appeared in the reveal trailer: Arbok, Pikachu, Bellsprout, Onix, Pinsir, Gyarados, Eevee, Dragonair, Heracross, Hippopotas, Sandile, Krokorok, Fletchling, Talonflame, Litleo, Pyroar, Flabébé, Gogoat, Furfrou, Aegislash, Sylveon, Hawlucha, and Klefki. In particular, Furfrou is one of the 9 remaining Pokémon that was not programmed into any previous Nintendo Switch core series game.

Pokémon mechanics

Mega Evolution will be returning for the first time since Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
