In this volume, Hareta's long fight with Team Galactic continues. Hareta follows the explosian and finds that Team Galactic blasted the water out of Lake Valor. Hareta finds Saturn with the help of Byron and the other gym leaders and fights him in a violent Pokémon battle. Eventually, Hareta emerges victorious only to end up fighting Cyrus in a critical state. Hareta wins at the lake as Mitsumi and Jun struggle at Lake Acuity.
