Poké Ball (Japanese: モンスターボール Monster Ball) is a Trainer. It is part of the Jungle set.

Card text

Flip a coin. If heads, you may search your deck for any Basic Pokémon or Evolution card. Show that card to your opponent, then put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Release information

This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan. This card was also reprinted in the EX Ruby & Sapphire and EX FireRed & LeafGreen sets with different artwork by K. Hoshiba; in EX Unseen Forces, EX Crystal Guardians, and Diamond & Pearl with another different artwork by Shin-ichi Yoshikawa; and in Majestic Dawn with yet another different artwork by Ryo Ueda. The card has seen its fair share of tweaks since its introduction, first in EX Ruby & Sapphire to read as follows:

Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a Basic Pokémon or Evolution card, show it to your opponent and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

The comma after "opponent" returned for the EX Unseen Forces print, and "Basic Pokémon or Evolution card" was changed to "Pokémon" for the Diamond & Pearl print.
