Pokémon Card GB 2 is the Japan-only sequel to Pokémon Card GB. It heavily features Great Rocket, and contains all of the cards from Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket.
Along with the four set and a number of special promotional cards, there was a ridiculously large amount of cards from the unreleased Japanese exclusive Vending Machine cards and the Video Introduction Set. Only one card from Gym Heroes made into the game, which was The Rocket's Trap.
Like the first version, there are a number of actual cards that did not make into the game, assuming that the listed promotional cards are "Named" Pokémon.
- Electrode
- Ditto
- Caterpie
- Koffing
- Grimer
- Tangela
- Electabuzz
- Marowak
- Kadabra
- Ditto
- Flash
- Power Matrix
- Pokémon Tower
- Mew
- Jynx
- Cubone
- Psyduck
- Moltres
- Articuno
- Zapdos
- Team Rocket's Meowth
There are three additional secret cards in the game that were not from the first generation, Marill, Togepi, and Lugia.
The main storyline of the game involved the player attempting to stop Great Rocket, perhaps an homage to the main series where players must stop Team Rocket.
