Release information
This card was released in the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion, as a Holofoil card. The English print became available at Pokémon Leagues as a Non Holofoil Wizards Black Star Promo on January 8, 2000. This card was released again on Glossy card stock as a Japanese "english language" black star promo in the Japanese magazine "Gotta" in 2000... besides the Glossy Mew they also had a Glossy French Pikachu insert in 2000. The "Gotta" magazine mostly has magic cards as inserts, but these glossy pokemon cards are very rare and at times even mistaken for being fake by accident. A Holofoil reprint, numbered 9, became available in Pokémon Leagues in April 2000.
