Lotus

(Japanese: ロータス Lotus) is a character of the day in BW132. She is the mother of Holly.

Lotus first appeared treating Holly when she injured her ankle trying to climb up a mountain, in pursuit of Jirachi. When Holly told of her yearn for Jirachi to grant her wish, she explained to Ash and co. that the valley they live in wasn't always a dry one. It was once a fertile, vibrant land with a lot of vegetation. However, the climate grew hotter, and caused the land to dry up. All of their neighbors moved away, including her husband, Cacto, who was very depressed about the loss of their garden. Though she told her daughter that finding Jirachi is not an easy task as it is very shy to humans, Lotus was supportive of her daughters idea to have Jirachi, who often resides in the valley, to restore it to the vibrant land it was. Day after day, she attempted to regrow her garden, but with no luck. When Jirachi granted Holly's wish and the land was restored, however, her replanted garden began to grow. In addition, her family was reunited with Cacto.
