Ayako, Hikari's mother
(Japanese: Ayako) is the mother of Hikari in the anime. She first appeared in Begin! From Futaba Town to Masago Town!!). She is voiced by 津村まこと Tsumura Makoto in the Japanese version.
She used to be a great Pokémon coordinator. Hikari wants to follow in her footsteps and become a great coordinator as well. When Hikari leaves, Ayako gives her one of her old ribbons.
