Jeremy in his rocker outfit

Jeremy is a businessman who was a rocker and Trainer in his youth. When he was younger, he used to travel a lot with his Ivysaur, as a Trainer. He stopped this when he was in his band since he became busy.

He had lifelong dream of entering a Pokémon Contest. He dons his rocker persona again, and enters the Silver Town Contest. He used his Butterfree during the Appeals Round, where it used a combination of Stun Spore, PoisonPowder and Safeguard. His wife Mandy and son Nicholas interrupt his appeal to convince him to give up the dream and come home. Jeremy replies with a speech about how he and his Pokémon spent countless hours training to achieve their dream and what it means to be a Coordinator. After this speech the judges, fans and May cheer him on to continue competing. After seeing what this dream means to him, his family lets him finish his run in the Contest.

Jeremy and his Venusaur, who was usually sleeping according to Nicholas, end up fighting against May and her Combusken in the final round. Venusaur launches powerful Frenzy Plant attacks, but in the end, May wins the contest.
