Gyara (Japanese: ギャラ Gyara) is one of the Pokémon owned by Red in the Pokémon Special manga.
History
Gyara debuts in the Red, Green & Blue chapter in its own round, Gyarados Splashes In!. It attacks its then trainer, Misty, but is recaught by Red, who returns it to her. Later on it ia revealed that the drastic change in its attitude was the result of a Team Rocket experiment as is shown in Raging Rhydon.
Later on, Misty traded this Gyarados to Red in exchange for Red's Krabby. Red quickly teaches it Surf which he had been trying to teach his Krabby.
