Forsythia

Forsythia (Japanese: ツボミ Tsubomi) is the character of the day in Oh Do You Know The Poffin Plan. Her Japanese voice actress is 浅野真澄 Masumi Asano.

She lives in Floaroma Town were she cares for her berry orchard with the help of her Pokémon Roserade and Lotad. She also teaches Poffin cooking classes. Ash, Dawn, and Brock saw a flyer adverstising her Poffin classes and paid a visit to her home.

She explained to them how to cook the Poffins. Dawn and Brock were having no trouble at all with making theirs but Ash couldn't get it right and ended up burning them. When Dawn fed her Poffins to her Pokémon but they ended up hating it. She couldn't understand why and says she used her mother's recipe. Forsynthia then went on to explain that all Pokémon have different tastes just like people do.

Ash asked why Forsynthia's Roserade was so shy. She told a story on how she met it when it was a Budew in a Pokémon Center after it had gotten into a fight with a couple of other Pokémon. It liked the look of the bouquet of flowers and became friends with her. As a sign of their friendship, Forsynthia gave Budew her red scarf.

The story was interuptted when Team Rocket came barreling through her garden in a tank, stealing all of her berries. When Roserade saw how upset Forsynthia was over this it ran back into her house and wrapped the scarf around its face. It came back out and attacked Team Rocket using Magical Leaf. Team Rocket then found out from Lotad that without the scarf Roserade didn't have the confidence to fight so Meowth and Mime Jr. removed it.

They were about to run off with Roserade and the berries but Forsynthia jumped in front of the tank and told Roserade that it didn't need the scarf to believe itself. With that, Roserade escaped and used a beautiful Petal Dance attack against Team Rocket.

After they were gone, Roserade's Sunny Day combined with Lotad's Water Gun, Forsynthia's garden began to regrow.
