Trivia

  • This episode title is almost identical to that of a chapter in the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga, Clefairy Tale.
  • Near the end of this episode, a chef said he was going to cook chicken. This leads reason to believe that animals may exist in the Pokémon world.
  • This episode raised many theories on which Pokémon are indeed aliens. Many believe that alien Pokémon are in fact Pokémon in the fairy breeding group. The evidence backing this theory is the fact that the scanner beeped when near Clefairy, Jigglypuff, and Misty (holding Togepi, which hatches from Togetic). In addition, some could say that when Oswald's scanner beeps when detecting Team Rocket's "aliens", it was actually beeping when Ash approached it with Pikachu, another member of the fairy breeding group.

Errors

  • The box for the VHS tape of this episode has Oswald's name as "Orville".
