A Collector (Japanese: ポケモンコレクター Pokémon Collector) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are generally depicted as overweight nerdy young men carrying many Poké Balls.
In Generation III, they use version-exclusive Pokémon, and in Generation IV, they usually use three Pokémon of the same species. They often talk about how they wish to catch rare Pokémon.
In Generation I, one of Bill's titles was the Collector.

In the anime
- Lawrence III called himself a collector. While his design is different from that of the trainer class, he shares the common interest in rare Pokémon. His image song is titled I Am a Collector.
- In the English dub of the anime, Misty is occasionally referred to as a "Water Pokémon collector".
