Ash's Gible (Japanese: サトシのフカマル Satoshi's Fukamaru) is the fifth Pokémon caught by Ash in the Sinnoh region.
History
Ash first met Gible in DP156. Wilma explained that Gible was trying his best to learn the move Draco Meteor. But for some reason, the move always failed. Instead of exploding in the sky, it always fell to the ground. Most of the time, it fell on Piplup. Ash wanted to help the wild Gible learn Draco Meteor and achieve his dreams. Gible successfully used the move against Team Rocket but has yet to do it sense. By the end of the episode, Gible decides to start following Ash.
In DP157, Ash met with Gible again where he successfully captured him. He also had a battle with Barry and his Empoleon.
Like Grotle when it was a Turtwig, Gible seems to enjoy chomping on Ash's head. His grip is strong and he needs to be massaged before letting go. He also seems to like gnawing on Jessie's hair.

- Gible is the very first Template:Type2 Pokémon that Ash has owned as well as the first that any main character of the anime has owned.
