It was released on October 21, 1998 in Japan,and in November, 1999 in North America. The Game Boy Color is Nintendo's handheld gaming system which surpassed the earlier model.The features of this model,as the name say,is the color screen.The first Pokémon games to this handheld was the Generation II games,Pokémon Gold & Silver.
The Game Boy Color was later surpassed itself by the Game Boy Advance.
